The Arts Review is an inherently collaborative project. It takes the determination, vulnerability, and creativity of a community of contributors, artists, and editors. The creation of Silhouette has taken place over the course of a school year that, for many, has been almost completely online. During a time in which the sense of community on campus has noticeably changed, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to experience a sense of community through working with the many individuals involved in creating Silhouette.
I would like to extend a thank you to the contributors and artists who are featured in Silhouette, as well as to everyone who submitted their writing and/or artwork. Thank you for your interest, dedication, and vulnerability.
A resounding thank you goes to Jarmo Puiras, Writing Centre Coordinator and project supervisor, for his trust and his words of encouragement. I would also like to thank the editorial team — Kate Bartlett, Hailey Brake, Madison Clark, Jacob Durden, and Fairouz Gaballa — for their hard work and enthusiasm. From their excellent editing skills to their design assistance, I couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to work with.
An enormous thank you goes to Donald Moses and his team at the Robertson Library for their continued support for this publication; to Wendy Henderson at Central Printing for her assistance and expertise. I would also like to thank Anne Bartlett, Acting Director of Student Affairs, for her support of the Arts Review. A thank you also goes to Kim Mears for taking the time to show me the basics of Pressbooks. The opportunity that the Arts Review provides its contributors, artists, and editors with is possible thanks to the continued interest and financial support of these individuals.
Finally, thank you to everyone who has bought a copy of Silhouette, Volume X of the Arts Review. Thank you for supporting this student-led project as well as the writing and artwork of those featured in this issue.
