UPEI has a strong commitment to quality teaching, as is reflected in the University\u2019s Mission and Goals and its overarching academic outcome statements.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"import-Normal\"><a class=\"rId8\" href=\"https:\/\/www.upei.ca\/about-upei\/mission-and-goals\">UPEI Mission and Goals<\/a><\/p>\r\nUPEI is in the final stages of developing a new strategic plan which continues to reflect the importance of teaching and learning to the university's <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">vision for a strong future and making our world a better place.<\/span>\r\n<p class=\"import-Normal\" style=\"background-color: #ffffff\">The priority placed on teaching is reflected in student comments about their UPEI experience.\u00a0<span class=\"x_ContentPasted3\">In the 2022 Survey of First Year Students from the <span>Canadian University Survey Consortium (CUSC)<\/span> that UPEI participated in, 89 per cent of UPEI respondents indicated that they are satisfied with the quality of teaching at UPEI<sup class=\"x_ContentPasted3\">1<\/sup>. In addition, i<\/span><span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">n the<\/span><span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/macleans.ca\/education\/canadas-best-primarily-undergraduate-universities-for-2025\/\">MacLean\u2019s 2025 Ranking of Canadian Universities<span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">, UPEI ranked 7th among the 20 primarily undergraduate universities in Canada.<\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\r\n<div id=\"x_Signature\">\r\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span style=\"text-align: initial;font-size: 1em\">You are joining a team of dedicated and gifted educators who can help you to develop your own practice and who can model excellence in teaching.
